#winninghomes

Each year more and more residents deck out their homes for the holidays to compete for the title of best decorated house in Marley Park. The competition was extreme for our 2019 Holiday Home Decorating Contest.

For three nights the judges and your neighbors cruised up and down the streets of our community on a mission to find their favorite decorated house. The votes have been tallied, and the winners are…(drumroll please)…

1st Place & People’s Choice: 15257 W. Georgia Dr.

The Cady’s did it again! The judges declared—and the people agreed—their super creative and colorfully lit home surpassed the competition for the second time this year (they also won 1st Place and People’s Choice in this year’s Halloween Home Decorating Contest).

With an abundance of Christmas trees, the 12 days of Christmas, a reindeer roasting marshmallows over a fire, and giant fire place with elves hard at work, you can see the volumes of work and the many hours they put into creating this masterpiece.

2nd Place: 12812 N. 154th Ln.

After receiving an honorable mention in our Halloween Home Decorating Contest this year, the Beck’s brought their A-game to our 2019 Holiday Home Decorating Contest. Their beautifully lit winter wonderland included lighted snowflakes dangling from the sky, an array of Christmas trees, multiple snowmen, and oh so many candy canes.

Honorable Mention: 14915 W. Georgia Dr.

While there’s not technically an honorable mention category in our competition, the judges decided there was one home that earned the title for taking creativity and hand-crafted decorations to a whole new level this year. If you’re out and about checking out lights in our community, be sure to stop by the Culver’s candy land.

A huge thanks to Bumblebee resident Rick Gibbs for taking photos of the winning homes.
