On Sunday, February 16th, the IMS Arizona Marathon, MasterBlock Half Marathon, Wal-Mart Marathon Relay and Cancer Treatment Centers 5k, will be sweeping through the West Valley.

The start of the half marathon takes place just moments from Marley Park, at the Surprise Recreation Campus at 15960 N. Bullard Avenue. The unique West Valley course will continue to inspire participants as it progresses to El Mirage, Youngtown, and Glendale. The half marathon wraps up in the same area as the full – the runners will see the University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, Super Bowl XLII, and the Phoenix Coyotes, as they approach the end of the race. The finish line provides a picture perfect finish – with Bellagio style water features guiding the runners to the Westgate Entertainment District.

For those who want to run the full IMS Arizona Marathon, the start of the run will take place at Verrado at 21029 West Main Street in Buckeye. The marathon will wind its way through the picturesque desert scenery in the shadows of the Estrella and White Tank Mountains. The Boston Marathon qualifier course guides runners from Verrado through Goodyear, Avondale, Litchfield Park, Phoenix, and Glenadale to finish at the Westgate Entertainment District.
