Making a difference in our community

Philanthropic spirit runs deep here in Marley Park. It’s especially exciting when our youth are recognized for their efforts in helping others.

Hayden Larkin has always been an active member of local Boy Scout Troop #194. Now, as a Life Scout, he is making a name for himself by creating good that positively impacts the lives of others for years to come.

Hayden spent more than 100 hours building an agility course to assist in the training of service dogs, then partnered with a nonprofit that pairs dogs with veterans suffering from combat-related conditions. He continues to raise funds to bring his project to fruition.

Recently Channel 12 News featured Hayden’s project. Watch the video.

You can help Hayden and his troop deliver the course by donating to Soldier’s Best Friend; be sure to designate funds to Hayden Larkin’s Eagle Project. And if you happen to see Hayden and Boy Scout Troop #194 members around the neighborhood, please thank them for their service to our community.
