Project Hand Up
This holiday season, Marley Park Leadership Group has chosen “Project Hand Up” and Sunshine Residential Homes, Inc. (a group home for local children) as the 2013 charity for its annual Home for the Holidays Celebration.
Wish lists have been created by the boys from Sunshine residential home, whose ages range from 5-12 years old and attend Marley Park Elementary School.
Wish tags are available to pick up at the “Angel Tree” located in the Heritage Club lobby for those interested in participating. The wish tag includes the first name, age, and a simple wish of a Sunshine Boy. After shopping for the gift, it can be dropped off on or before December 7th at the Heritage Club or Home for the Holidays event. The Philanthropy Committee will wrap each gift. All participants are asked to include the gift receipt and wish tag to the donation and fill out the sign-out sheet after picking up a gift tag.
Even if you don’t participate in the Angel Tree, you can still participate in Project Hand Up by bringing a “needed” donation item to the Home for the Holidays event on December 7th, including stocking stuffer items (school supplies, backpacks, socks, sweatshirts, or jeans for boys ages 5-12).
