Families invited to enjoy two spring traditions on April 19

Easter Egg Hunt at Marley ParkIt’s almost time for the Easter Bunny to make his annual appearance and delight young boys and girls at the annual Marley Park Egg Hunt at Founder’s Park on Saturday, April 19. Last year, 100 children collected 3,000 eggs in just under two minutes.

This special Marley Park tradition is possible thanks to Charlotte Confer who organizes the event each year, and many other community volunteers who fill eggs, direct the crowd during the event, and assist with other details. To be part of the volunteer efforts, please contact Charlotte at conferc@hotmail.com.

The Marley Park Egg Hunt begins promptly at 9 a.m. and concludes when all eggs have been claimed.

Following the Marley Park Egg Hunt, hop on over to the City of Surprise Spring Eggstravaganza at the Kansas City Practice Fields at 15850 N. Bullard Ave. Families will enjoy face painters, clowns, inflatables, and egg hunts by age groups. Gates open at 9:30 a.m. and the first egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. Visit the Eggstravaganza event page for a complete list of age groups and times. For more information, please call (623)222-2000.
