‘Downing Earth’ or ‘Dover White’? Learn which is right for your home

On Monday, April 7, MPCA will present an exterior painting workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Heritage Club. JT Elbracht from Elbracht + Company, LLC, and Marley Park design review consultant, will facilitate the workshop. Elbracht has 25 years of experience in planning and design services for multi-faceted master planned communities.

Nearly 10 years since Marley Park welcomed its first residents, the paint on many homes needs refreshed. This is the first workshop of its kind that MPCA has offered and is a great opportunity for residents to learn about the diverse architectural styles within the community and what paint palettes complement each style. While Marley Park celebrates diversity in styles and colors of homes, it’s important to choose an exterior color that enhances their architectural personalities. At the workshop, residents can consult directly with an expert in the field to help them choose the perfect match for their homes.

What’s more, residents can learn about the design review process and get pointers for successfully submitting modification requests.  In most cases, modification requests are approved within two to three weeks, but the design review committee, which meets most Mondays, has up to 30 days to approve requests. A quick turn-around time depends, in part, on the accuracy and completeness of modification forms, which can be submitted electronically online at Marleypark.net. Hard-copy forms can also be downloaded and submitted in-person to MPCA.

Registration for the exterior painting workshop is available online on the Community Calendar at marleypark.net. For more information, contact the MPCA operations team at 623-466-8820.
