Annual Fall Equinox highlights food, fun, friends, and philanthropy
A quick check of the 10-day weather forecast shows daytime temperature hovering around 100 degrees, but overnight temperatures are predicted to drop firmly into the 70s. Yes, fall in the Valley of the Sun has finally arrived!
The Marley Barley Beer Club, Grape Nutz Wine Club, and Marely Park Community Association, Inc. invite you to celebrate the changing season on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 6 p.m. at the Heritage Pool House for the 5th Annual Fall Equinox where food, music, and fun are in store.
Guests are encouraged to break out their fall fashions and revel in flannels and autumn floral patterns. Those with the most spirited ensembles will be rewarded for their good taste.
This year’s event supports PeppedUp! — a Phoenix-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing portable entertainment to children suffering from life threatening or terminal diseases such as Lymphoma, Leukemia, Myeloma, and other forms of cancer. At the event, used video game systems, cell phones, and other portable electronic device donations will be accepted.
Event admission is $5 per person and RSVP is required in advance as space is limited. Please bring your favorite adult beverage to share with others as you toast the fall equinox.
