Arizona Housing Development, Marley Park, Opens in Surprise
DMB's Newest Community Emphasizes Neighborhoods with Character and Charm, Invites Exploration
SURPRISE, AZ (May 17, 2005) - Marley Park opens this month, giving prospective homebuyers a feel for the character and charm of this new emerging DMB Surprise, AZ home community.
Marley Park is a place that offers the cherished elements of traditional neighborhoods with front porches; tree-lined streets; homes offering an abundance of architectural styles, sizes and colors on every street; and a lush park within a few minutes of every home.
Marley Park officially opens to the public on Sunday, May 22 at 10 a.m. with the opening of the Model Home Neighborhood.
Marley Park's unique Model Home Neighborhood presents a collection of architecturally diverse homes surrounding one of the community's vibrant neighborhood parks, aptly named Marley Park. Eleven models are currently open and by summer, 21 model homes will be complete.
"The Model Home Neighborhood will give prospective buyers a glimpse of what their own neighborhood at Marley Park might be like," said Irene Carroll, DMB vice president and general manager for Marley Park. "This will be a place where neighborhoods have as much character as the people who live here, and where tree-lined streets and wide-open parks invite people outdoors to get involved in their community."
In its first phase of the northwest Phoenix home development, Marley Park will offer approximately 650 homes by five Valley homebuilders: Ashton Woods Homes, Element Homes, Engle Homes, Randall Martin Home and Scott Communities. Each builder will offer a variety of architectural styles, floor plans, elevations and color palettes, lending visual interest and distinction to the community.
Homes will include single-family detached, attached and courtyard living, ranging in size from 1,356 - 4,113 square feet. Enduring architectural styles presented by Phase I builders include Bungalow, Cottage, Craftsman, Monterey, Spanish, Territorial Ranch, and Traditional.
Marley Park will bring to life the best of what communities used to be-the timeless expression of neighborhood, home and haven. The northwest Phoenix master planned community's planned Arbor Walk is a network of pathways and trails lined with Evergreen Elms that will run through each neighborhood, interconnecting Phase I's nine uniquely themed neighborhood parks. The largest park in Phase I, Heritage Park, is a 25-acre public multi use recreational complex. Proposed park elements in Phase I include a 1,600-seat amphitheater, open play and adventure areas, covered picnic areas, lighted baseball and soccer fields, a community rose garden, flower gardens and shade trees. With approximately 41 acres of parks and open space, Marley Park will provide abundant opportunities for residents to gather and interact.
Adjacent to Heritage Park is Marley Park Elementary School, a K-8 school located at the heart of the community that opened August 2004, and the Heritage Club for residents, planned to open in 2007. The Heritage Club, Marley Park's 6,000-square-foot residents' recreational complex, will be situated on approximately 5 acres and will include outdoor event lawns, catering facilities, a teen room and meeting space.
In addition to creating classically styled neighborhoods in the Surprise, AZ new home community, Marley Park will also offer numerous opportunities for residents to become involved in the greater community through partnerships with local organizations. The Heritage Club will offer innovative programs designed to promote social, civic, educational, cultural, health and wellness, recreational and artistic activities in the community. A full-time community manager and parks and recreation team will facilitate resident programs in partnership with Northwest Valley community, service, health and arts organizations.
"At DMB, we are united by our passion for community building and proud to play a role in creating connected and successful legacy communities," said Drew Brown, managing director and CEO of DMB. "We look forward to seeing Marley Park come to life through the individuals and families who will call this place home."
The Marley Park Model Home Neighborhood is situated next to the Marley Park Welcome Center, located at 13118 Founders Park Blvd. in Surprise. Hours of operation for the Welcome Center and Model Home Neighborhood are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., daily. The Marley Park Welcome Center offers a preview of the lifestyle that can be enjoyed at Marley Park.
